Drive-in testing for COVID-19 will begin at Monroe Community College Friday.
The testing site at MCC is for first responders, health care workers and essential employees, even if they aren’t symptomatic. Those interested do have to take an assessment ahead of time either online or by phone.
The assessment will include questions like:

- Are you experiencing coronavirus related symptoms?
- Are you a first responder, healthcare worker, nursing home employee or an essential worker who has direct contact with the general public?
- Have you had any close contact with someone who is diagnosed with COVID-19?
- What has been your travel history for the last 14 days?
Tests are by appointment only. Eligible people can call 888-364-3065 or apply online at https://covid19screening.health.ny.gov.
The Finger Lakes Regional Director for the Empire State Development said the new site is the result of increase testing and lab processing capacity in the state.
